Dr. Sammons and his team are committed to continuing education and exceed the required state post-graduate trainings to excel on all modern aspects of dentistry including: cosmetic straightening, dental implants, anxiety-free sedation, root canal therapies, teeth whitening, veneers, crowns, resin bonded fillings, periodontal therapies, TMD/TMJ treatment, and partials. Dr. Sammons’ calming demeanor will help ease the anxiety many individuals have when seeking dental treatment. He takes great pride in his work to exceed patient expectations.
As a Youngsville native and proud ULL alumnus, Dr. Sammons has deep roots in his community. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from ULL and graduated summa cum laude. He attended LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr. Sammons remains a devoted supporter of his Ragin’ Cajuns and is a regular at many of the university’s sporting and community events.
Since graduation, Dr. Sammons has been at the forefront of technology and learning the latest techniques in dentistry. Dr. Sammons regularly pursues over 100 hours of continuing education each year – five times the amount required by the state board. His areas of advanced training include:

Dr. Sammons is thankful to be home in Cajun Country raising his young boys alongside his wife, Abbey. You will typically find his family outdoors on the weekends, enjoying the many wonderful things that the amazing Lafayette city offers. When he’s not crafting beautiful smiles, Dr. Sammons enjoys volunteering, grilling, attending local festivals, early morning workouts, and hunting.
